A ConcertWindow Christmas - 7:00 pm
Price: Name Your Ticket Price

Welcome to my second annual online holiday show. This will be a festivals event, streamed live from my home to yours.  In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, I'm setting tickets to name your price.  If you're feeling the holiday pinch, you can still come and enjoy yourself.  If you feel like spreading a little holiday cheer, you can always set your ticket price higher.  Most important of all is that we get together, share a bit of time, chat over the forum, and enjoy some live streamed holiday music.  I can't perform everywhere, so getting to say hi to friends, fans and family and performing right on your home like this is a great way to wind down the year.

See you online.

I'll be sitting in as a session player for the band, No Sin In Eden.  If you haven't heard their music yet, they're a female fronted group, with lead vocals split between two young ladies, Amanda and Jill.  Their guitar player, Joe developed a knack for making the band sound full and complete long before they picked up a bass player, and I'll be adding percussion and mandolin to the mix.

Their music is is gradually shifting towards indie rock with a bit of flavor and inspiration  coming from several genres, including country, pop, rock, modern folk, and more.

As for the festival, Appleumpkin is an annual Techumseh tradition.  With multiple performer stages, and acts on deck the whole weekend, music is central to the huge fun and goings on.  Come on out and check it out.  I'll be back Sunday morning, from 11-12:20 on the solo/duo stage, so stop by and say hi!

Michigan State Fair Superstar Semifinals - 7:15 pm - 7:30 pm
46100 Grand River Ave
Novi, MI
USA [map]

The semifinals for the Superstar competition run Thursday and Friday, from 5-10 pm.  Each of the 13 remaining competitors will be performing three songs during the semifinal performance.  An uptempo song, a slower song, and their interpretation and rearrangement of an assigned song.  Based upon a series of points awarded by judges, audience votes, audience participation, etc, the top 5 scoring competitors advance to the finals.  The finalists are announced by midnight Friday, and the final 5 competitors return Saturday from 5-10 pm, each performing a half hour set.  Again, the points are tallied.  The top three are awarded grand prize winner, runner up, and honorable mention, and return, performing 90, 60, and 30 minute sets respectively on Sunday evening.

Last year, I finished 6th during the semifinals, and can't wait to get another shot.  Above and beyond the potential prizes, and incredible opportunities that come with winning, I'm looking forward to meeting more artists, and learning from the incredible mentoring session that all semifinalists attend together.  Every step song this journey has been amazing, and I'm going to do my best to keep pushing forward and opening more doors.  Wish me luck, and see you there!

Joined by the incomparable Robin Monterosso, this promises to be a full evening of Americana goodness.  No top 40 recycled tunes found here, this night of all original music will take you on a journey.  The highs and lows, as performed by to local singer songwriters.  Robin and Stuart have been sharing songs and stages together and apart, and their blending of country and folk merges seamlessly.

Robin is a songwriter, penning songs of life and love, death and hate, sorrow and joy.
That's life.
That's Robin Monterosso music.
Lyrically driven tunes with a country bent and some kinda personal flair began flowing off of her pen at the age of 47, proof that it's never too late to live your dreams.

Stuart is that unusual amalgamation of blue collar and white, private sector and public.  His music blends the storytelling of folk with the heart of country, adding a touch of pop, crafting music that is truly relatable to all.  Tales of life, love, struggles and triumphs, all presented with the purity of acoustic performance.

Highland, MI 48357
(248) 755-1195 [map]

This coming Saturday, I'll be filling in for a friend while he takes care of a family emergency.  Filling Terry Birkett's talented shoes is no small feat, but I'll do my best with my personal acoustic americana blend of folk, country, and pop.

The market and the show must go on, regardless of the weather.  To that end, should the skies open up and rain pour down, the vendors provide drive up service.  Not many markets can boast of that ability.

As for me, I'll be tucked under a 10x10 tent, singing away from 10-2, enjoying the last of the summer market season.  If you're in the area, I will have my 6 track EP available either as a cd, or on download cards, for those who prefer digital formats.

Come on out, catch some tunes, and kick off the weekend with some fresh food, local crafts and more.

Price: FREE

Join me in lovely Highland, MI for their Huron Valley Farmer's Market.  With growers, crafters and even a flea market, and an ever changing collection of goods to discover, come and peruse the vendor booths, then kick back and enjoy some great live music.

This market concert is going to be pretty different from the usual presentation.  I'm bringing in a few guest musicians to share the stage with me.  We'll be taking turns, swapping songs, accompanying one another, and generally having a great time proving musical entertainment for the fine guests and vendors of the market.

Jennifer Jordan visits all the way from England.  Jennifer is a singer-songwriter and actress, taking time out of her busy schedule to join us, and is not to be missed.

Jennifer Foss, a very talented local singer-songwriter, is also taking the stage.  Lately, Jennifer has been taking her music to a whole new level, and having her perform is a rare treat.

Devon Benbow, a gifted multi-instrumentalist, will be providing accompaniment, and it's anyones guess what he'll come up with.  Able to play piano, trumpet, french horn, bass, and guitar, he adds depth to any performance.

And me, Stuart Benbow, local singer-songwriter.  When you hear these wonderful people, you'll see why I opened up my stage and eagerly welcomed them all to the performance.

Additionally, there is a chance that another guest will possibly join us on stage.

If you've been on the fence about coming to a market show, this would be the one to attend.

Oh, and the local corn's going to be available, too!

Acoustically Me - Sneak Peak - 5:00 PM Eastern
Live Streamed, Direct To You
Price: Name Your Price

Ever wish you had a say in an album's track list? Here's your chance!

I'm in production on my first full length album, titled Acoustically Me. At present, there are two versions. A standard release, with 11 tracks planned, and a deluxe version with 16 tracks. I have songs picked that I feel make a great album, but before I'm too far along, I want your thoughts.

I'll be performing an unplugged album run through, beginning to end. We can discuss what works for you, and what doesn't. Let me know which songs you feel would be better left off the album, and which ones you want added.

After you've heard my choices, we can head into a sort of all request portion, where I'll perform songs that you really want included, so others can hear them and make an informed choice.

I'm looking for your thoughts. Help me make this the best album it can possibly be. I'll have a digital download of my brand new demo EP available for active participants as a thank you for your help!

Name your price on the online ticket, hear a concert, request tunes, jump into the discussion and album planning, and get a download of an EP, talk about win/win! See you there!

Grab a cup of coffee, some tasty treats, and prepare for some outstanding entertainment.  This event takes place during Wyandotte's Third Friday.  This time around, they're having a rib cookoff.  Sounds tasty.  With that in mind, No Sin In Eden and I will be taking turns with two one hour sets each.  I'll start heating things up at 6 PM.

Stuart Benbow is an acoustic Americana singer-songwriter with a talent for combining the heart of country music with the story telling of folk and the energy of pop. His songs have been selected time and again in national songwriting competitions, and for one night only, he's here in downtown Wyandotte.

No Sin In Eden is an ensemble cast of talented harmonies, engaging guitars and high energy. An amalgam of alternative, indie rock and country in this female fronted powerhouse. Joe, Mandy, Jill and Ken are No Sin In Eden. - -

Are you a Browncoat? Still enjoying the wonders of Firefly and Serenity, years after Fox pulled the plug? Still praising Joss whedon's creative genius for giving us such a vivid world and rich, deep characters?

This is the show for you. Over the past year, I've crafted some songs that celebrate the wonders of the verse, the crew, and the Serenity herself. The fare's what you feel's fair, and both tickets and participation are online at Concert Window.

On hand will be Dave Falk, a talented local who is much in demand for his vocal, guitar, and dobro skills.
