From the recording 50-90 2017
A few weeks ago, GYAWS assigned the theme, Garden. At the time I was too busy to write. I was, however, able to spend some time in a rather beautiful garden, curated by my mother during a visit. Her little paradise inspired this song.
Lyrics
Secret garden, an oasisA place of hope, a second homeWhere the worries of the world fade away Secret garden, an oasisWith a rainbow slowly growingEver changing with the seasons, come what may
The birds and wildlife come and goWarm breezes dance and playMinutes turn to hoursSky shifts from light to grayThat crescent moon and its milky glowTransforms this magic placeWith a book in hand and that night wind songI slowly turn the page
Secret garden, an oasisContentment is thy nameThe toils and labors to maintainAre a joy to undertakeSecret garden, an oasisDirty hands and sun kissed skinWith the morning light and a steaming cupI can't wait to begin
<Instrumental>
The birds and wildlife come and goWarm breezes dance and playMinutes turn to hoursSky shifts from light to grayThat crescent moon and its milky glowTransforms this magic placeWith a book in hand and that night wind songI slowly turn the page
To that secret garden, an oasisA place of hope, a second homeWhere the worries of the world fade away
