Physical Therapy, counseling, etc., anything you undertake to rebuild after an illness, injury or attack is never a competition against the others in the room. It's always a battle to take that next step.
Sometimes it's hard not to take a hit to the ego all the same. Getting lapped by a sweet little old lady while I couldn't take a step without support sure put a lot in perspective.
