With 2023 winding down, I have a lot to be thankful for.  My health continues to improve, as does my wife's.  I've shared the stage with some truly incredible Michigan artists this year, and both my songwriting and performing continues to improve.  I've had the opportunity to run sound for a slew of performers at a festival, and received some truly impactful and incredible feedback from people across the globe regarding some of this year's new songs.  

As a returning judge for the Michigan State Fair Superstar Competition, I was blessed to not only see some incredible performances across a wide array of genres, but truly awed as each contestant took my song, Enjoy The Ride, a song I wrote about the State Fair experience, and made it their own.  As a former contestant, I know the challenge of being handed someone else's work and have to partially rewrite the lyrics to tell a new story, and arrange it in a whole new way, but they all knocked it out of the park.  I can only hope that the insights I provided on the score cards helps each of them grow.

To say there have been struggles would be a monumental understatement, but I have been surrounded by incredible friends, family and fans.  That light has kept me going through some of the darkness the last few years has brought.
